Known for his flute playing and interpretation of the Native hoop dance, Kevin Locke takes great pride in carrying on the traditions of Native
American performing arts. Learn how Locke?s music, dance, and storytelling bridge cultural gaps and develop a greater understanding of Native American life. Kevin Locke, Lakota (Sioux), will lead a week-long residency as part of the Civic Dialogue Project, a partnership between the Lied Center and Haskell Indian Nations University that explores cultural understanding between native and non-native people.
