Fri., May. 2, 2014, 10:00am - 11:30am
Location: 4660 Bauer Farm Drive

Lawrence Community Theater began life in 1977 and has operated continuously since then. In 2011 the name was changed to Theatre Lawrence at the beginning of a capital campaign to build a new theater on 6th street near Free State High School. The nearly $6 million structure was completed in Spring 2013 and opened with the musical, 'Ragtime', in June. We will tour the new facility and learn more of the history of community theater in Lawrence. The mask collection in the lobby of the new theatre is spectacular. More about Theatre Lawrence may be found at: http://www.theatrelawrence.com/about/history.htm
