The Commons

Fri., Apr. 22, 2011, 7:00pm - 9:00pm
Co-sponsored by the Center for Sustainability
Location: The Commons, Spooner Hall

In honor of Earth Day, The Commons is offering a screening of HOME, an award-winning documentary of life on our planet, shot entirely from an aerial perspective. Spanning 54 countries and 120 locations, the film captures some of Earth's most amazing landscapes, showcasing its imcomparable beauty and acknowledging its vulnerability. HOME is an emotional reminder of what is at stake: the Earth, in all its beauty, and the people who live on it. With this film, Arthus-Bertrand hopes to provide a stepping-stone to further the call to action to take care of our HOME and encourage viewers to become good eco-citizens.

HOME is produced by Luc Besson & Denis Carot. The English/American version of the film is narrated by Glenn Close. For more information about the film, go to: http://www.homethemovie.org.

This event is free and open to the public.
