?Park Pioneers?

Lawrence is a city of beautiful parks and green space. But how did it get that way? And who were the people behind the names? It all started with the early settlers. This will be a look at the long history of park development in our city, highlights of the citizens who earned enough respect to have a park named for them, the beauty of our landscape and what?s still in store, all in the context of our past.
