Wed., Sep. 11, 2002, 10:00am
Location: 155 Indian Avenue
Haskell Indian Nations University, located on the south side of Lawrence, has a long, varied and interesting history. It now has students from about 150 different tribes and hence many differing cultures and traditions...a real challenge for the staff and institution! This is the opportunity you have been looking for to better understand the mission of Haskell, its long history and to see the rare Rinehart Collection of photographs taken at the turn of the century of great Indian leaders. In addition, we will take a first-hand tour of the brand new Haskell Cultural Center and Museum. Our hostess will be Bobbi Rahder, the Archivist/Curator at Haskell. She will speak to us at the Cultural Center and lead a tour of this wonderful new facility. Parking is readily available. You?ll enjoy this opportunity! (Limited to 35 participants).

Programs may be attended by NGSL members only.
