New Generation Society of Lawrence (NGSL members only)

Thu., Jan. 31, 2002, 4:30pm
Location: Spencer Museum of Art, Central Court
In the 1936-39 Spanish Civil War, various artists used their art to warn against the ?dangers of fascism.? This exhibit comprises 30-40 large-scale color posters and as many dramatic black-and-white photographs brought home by American volunteers who fought on the Republican side of the war. Join Andrea Norris, Director of the Spencer Museum, for a tour and discussion of the works as graphic design and in their historical context, as well as insights on Kansas historical ties to the exhibition. A reception with Andrea will follow the tour.

Programs may be attended by NGSL members only.
