This tour will allow you to observe truck chassis become carriers with the addition of "boxes" customized by Brown Cargo Van. The Ashton-Richards Company operated a truck trailer and truck body sales and service business in Kansas City for 30 years. The business moved to Lawrence in 1975 and was later renamed Brown Cargo Van. The company originally concentrated on high quality truck bodies and allied equipment, but more recently has become involved in trailer customization for the growing racecar circuit.
Sydney A. Garrett, president of Brown Cargo Van, will direct the tours.
The company suggests that you do not wear open-toed shoes, sandals or loose clothing and also that members carpool if they can.
