Blackboard Strategies and Tools

Workshop Details
Workshop description

Attendance in this workshop is required for anyone planning to use the Blackboard system.

Blackboard is a course management system available to all KU instructors, enabling them to post learning materials, communicate with students, and manage course data online.

The 2-hour Blackboard Strategies and Tools workshop provides a complete synopsis of almost every tool and feature in Blackboard. Participants will explore the system from a technical viewpoint (i.e., what buttons to push) as well as discuss several instructional ideas and tips for using Blackboard to improve student learning (i.e., why you'd want to push the buttons in the first place). KU policies and procedures related to Blackboard accounts, copyright, and intellectual property will also be reviewed. The training is both hands-on computer-based and discussion-oriented. Handouts and materials are provided. Click on one of the upcoming workshop dates and times listed below to register. These sessions are held in a group setting of no more than 8 participants.
