What We Do For You

The Unclassified Senate works year round to help improve workplace conditions, shape policy and represent the interests of KU's Unclassified Professional Staff. Our annual events include:

Professional Development Funding

Applications due by October 21, 2011

Unclassified Senate will once again award funds to staff members for professional development. The funds can be used to take a class, attend a conference, present research or hone job skills. To apply for the funding, complete the application form, and email it to Claudia Bode, Professional Development Committee Chair, bode@ku.edu.

Summer Food Drive

Thanks for helping make the 2011 Staff Summer Food Drive a success. Together, the KU community raised more than $2,000 to buy food for families in need. To learn more and to see photos of past food drives, visit the Help KU Fight Hunger Facebook page.

Social Media Mondays

Do you have questions about social networking? Learn how to use and manage social media platforms by participating in a new seminar series on the last Monday of each month. Justin Henning, social media coordinator for University Relations, will lead the interactive sessions.
