            President Rick Levy called the meeting to order at 4:40 p.m.

MINUTES for April 10, 2008 were approved.

NEW BUSINESS
            Outgoing president Rick Levy expressed best wishes to incoming president Nancy Kinnersley and presented her with an engraved gavel.

Organizational Meeting of the FY-09 Faculty Senate
May 1, 2008 - 4:50 p.m. – Green Hall (Law School)

Incoming Faculty Senate President Nancy Kinnersley called the meeting to order and welcomed the new faculty elected for FY09.   

Election of President-Elect for FACULTY Senate
Mark Ezell nominated Lisa Wolf-Wendel, Education, who was elected by acclamatio

ELECTION OF SIX FACEX MEMBERS
            Nominated were: John Staniunas, College; Lisa Wolf-Wendel, Education; John Stratton, Libraries; Ben Eggleston, College; Lisa Friis, Engineering; and Nancy Kinnersley, Engineering.  Matt Burke was also nominated but declined.  The nominees were elected by acclamation.

No further business.  The meeting adjourned at 5:00 p.m.
