University Governance

AMENDMENT TO UNIVERSITY SENATE CODE, ARTICLE XII.
Approved by SenEx on March 3, 2009

RationaleThe Athletic Committee feels that the addition of the Associate Director of Athletics for Student Athlete Support Services on the committee would further strengthen the communication between the University Senate and Athletics.  Having an individual who has operational responsibilities in Athletics that reflect both academics and student athlete welfare extends this linkage by opening the opportunity for reciprocal dialog, understanding, and education around issues and concerns.
