Add or remove your name and email address to/from a List
To add and/or remove your name and email address to/from a list, you correspond via email with the list server - a machine, not a person. Please note the following: Because you are communicating with a computer program, it is important that the syntax of your message is absolutely accurate. All commands are sent to the list processor. At KU, that email address is listproc@ku.edu. Send only the words shown below, placing them in the body of the message. If you have an email signature automatically added to your messages, delete it or turn off that feature before sending your message.
Add your name and email address to a List
- Address an e-mail to listproc@ku.edu from the email address under which you wish to receive listserv information.
- In the body of the e-mail type sub kuinterns-L YourFirstName YourLastName
For YourFirstName insert your first name that you want to be identified by, and for YourLastName insert your last name. - Leave the subject line blank; do not include a signature at the end; DO NOT TYPE ANYTHING ELSE IN THE E-MAIL.
- Listproc takes the email address from your message and adds you under that address. Therefore, you must send your subscribe command from your own email account.
- Once you send the e-mail, you will automatically be added to the KU Internship Listserv, and you will receive a welcome e-mail. You should save this response, as it includes valuable information about the group, such as how to remove your name and email address from the listserv.
Remove your name and email address from a List
- Address an e-mail to listproc@ku.edu
- In the body of the e-mail type unsub kuinterns-L
- You do not need to include your own name in this command.
