Using UCC Services

Any of the above services can be used from home or from the Room 131C in the Regents Center. To make a reservation to use the computer in Room 131C, please contact our office (785-864-3624) or visit the Student Success Center.

Making an appointment to meet over the web with MeetASAP does require an appointment with a staff member at the UCC. Counselors are generally available M-F 8 am – 5 pm.

Available Programs

	The University Career Center's Resume Dropbox can be used to send your resume to our office for review. You will receive feedback on your resume in 1-2 business days. Resumes should be sent to the UCC in Plain Text, Word, or PDF formats for best results. Click here to use the Resume Dropbox
	Brush up on your interview skills with Perfect Interview. Perfect Interview creates a compelling and realistic "simulated interview" experience where you are asked challenging questions and must respond, just as you would in a real job interview. You can repeat each question as often as you like, and you can even see examples of how someone else might answer. And, if you get stuck, there's a built-in Interview Coach to offer help. Your responses will then be reviewed by the UCC’s staff and you will receive feedback on your interview by e-mail.

By automatically creating personalized resume websites in addition to traditional Microsoft Word documents, you gain by standing above the crowd and offering employers additional information on demand. Your resume immediately becomes available online with OptimalResume for review by anyone you choose, including staff at the UCC.
	Want to meet with a Career Counselor but can’t make the trip to Lawrence? The UCC now offers a web-based video conference solution that allows you to speak with our staff from your home or from Room 131C of the Regents Center. Making an appointment with MeetASAP requires an appointment. Please contact the University Career Center to schedule a time.
	Visit the University Career Center’s website (www.ucc.ku.edu) or the Student Success Center to get a registration form. Registering for KU Career Connections allows employers to view your resume, allows you to sign up for on-campus interviews, and view job posting specifically for KU Students. New for 2006-2007, KU Career Connections is now a FREE service.
