The workshop will begin with an introduction to brain-computer interfaces by g.tec CEO Christoph Guger, Ph.D. and presentations on current research at KU by Jonathan Brumberg, Ph.D and translational / clinical applications by keynote speaker Melanie Fried-Oken, Ph.D., CCC/SP. A hands-on live BCI demonstration will follow.
This workshop will introduce the techniques involved in brain-computer interfacing, and facilitate discussion for the best use of these technologies in practical & clinical applications. The workshop is open to the public, and is designed to appeal to a diverse group of attendees including faculty, clinicians, researchers, students and the university community with interests in assistive technology, neuroscience, engineering, and speech and language science.
