Research Interests
I am interested in exploring and developing the use of genetic techniques for differentiating Human Umbilical Cord Matrix (HUCM) stem cells to be utilized in tissue engineering. I am primarily interested in the tissue make-up of the meniscus and how HUCM stem cells can be harvested and utilized with damaged cartilage and bone. I will focus on the development of osteochondral constructs specific to the knee joint.
