Teaching Philosophy
Students studying planning should think beyond the skills they need for a job. They should attempt to advance their theoretical and philosophical inquiry as to the questions one should ask about what constitutes good planning. Otherwise, students can easily prepare themselves to become mere technicians without the insight that planners need to help create a vision for their communities.
