Students currently enrolled in KU's Kiswahili program often interview each other to practice using the language. The following interviews were between second year students:

  • Megan Collar
  • Mellaine Naaz
  • Noelle Johnson
  • Patel Hardik
  • Kathleen Korphage

Conversation One:

In this discussion, Mellanie asks Megan questions to find out what Megan likes to do, and where she is from.

Conversation Two:

Patel asks Mellanie where she goes to school, what her hobbies are, and where she might like to travel after finishing school.

Conversation Three:

Megan and Patel are having a conversation about Patel's family, where he lives now, and about school.

Conversation Four:

This is a conversation between Noelle and Kathleen. Kathleen is answering Noelle's questions about where she currently lives and places she has lived before, the types of jobs she would like to do, and some of her favorite colors and favorite animals.

Conversation Five:

Kathleen inquires about Noelle's family, about school, and about whether she would like to travel to Africa.
