The Intercampus Program in Communicative Disorders at the University of Kansas has funding for you to complete your career goal! Project CIRCLE (Creating Native American Resources to facilitate Communication skills in Learning Environments) is a grant funded by the Indian Education Discretionary Grant Programs- Professional Development (CFDA 84.299B). The purpose of this grant is to train Native American students to work as speech-language pathologists in the school settings, preferably with a significant number of Native American children who display communication disorders. Project CIRCLE Payback Requirements The Department of Education's funding of this grant requires a payback from trainees in the form of either service or cash. Two years of training are funded for each student. Upon completion of Project CIRCLE, the trainee either:
If a student begins Project CIRCLE and does not complete the program, a cash payback will be required for costs accrued by the student. |
