Research Interests

Dr. Johnson's research focuses on understanding how the human auditory system works in ears with both normal hearing and hearing loss. Research in the lab includes basic investigations of human auditory system function using non-invasive techniques (otoacoustic emissions, auditory evoked potentials, behavioral approaches). Translational studies aimed at improving the identification and diagnosis of hearing loss in infants and young children are also underway.
