John A. FerraroCarolyn Doughty-Margaret Kemp Professor B.S., 1968, Southern Colorado State College Director, Auditory Evoked Potential Laboratory ResearchDr. Ferraro's research interests are in the areas of auditory electrophysiology and the clinical applications of auditory evoked potenials (AEPs). He has numerous publications and presentations related to the use of the "early" AEPs in the diagnosis, assessment and management of otologic/ neuro-otologic disorders. The development and refinement of non-invasive electrocochleographic approaches to help diagnose and monitor Meniere's disease/endolymphatic hydrops has been the focus of recent research. In addition, Dr. Ferraro is the Principal Investigator for a grant from the Hall Foundation of Kansas City that is designed to improve hearing assessment in infants. This study involves measuring the auditory brainstem response from the ear canal of newborns and young infants. Selected PublicationsArticles:Riazi, M., and Ferraro, J. (2007).
