Professor Emerita Roberta L. Johnson receives highest honors from Spanish Embassy


AwardsOn October 11, 2007 by the designation of King  Juan Carlos I of Spain and the Spanish Ambassador to the United States, Carlos Westendorp, our distinguished colleague Roberta L. Johnson (second from right) was awarded the Encomienda de la Orden de Isabel la Católica for academic merits of the highest distinction in furthering Spanish culture. The Department is thrilled to congratulate Roberta for this truly exceptional recognition of her scholarly achievements, a highly deserved award not only for the many successes of her stellar career but also for her dynamic research program and professional engagement that continue apace.
