KU Students in Santiago de Compostela watch Jayhawks' victory

Students in SantiagoSpanish majors studying in Santiago de Compostela gathered to watch on a laptop as the Jayhawks defeat Memphis. Amanda Lewis, a KU sophomore, reported: "It was so fun to celebrate the Jayhawks here. I would have loved to be in Lawrence, but Spain was the next best place! Me and my friend cooked a big tailgate meal for all the people in our group. It was really fun and we all wore our crimson and blue." Lewis is one of twenty KU students enrolled in the KU Program in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, this semester. This program offers students a semester-long opportunity to take advanced-level Spanish language, literature, and culture courses in a city of great historical and cultural significance.
