Giving To Our Department

A donation of any size makes a big difference in the work we do. Our scholarship funds allow us to compete with other universities to attract a diverse group of students from around the world. Our general endowment fund provides for the activities that enrich the academic environment of our department, the University of Kansas, Lawrence and beyond.

I am pleased to report that the department continues to focus on excellence in teaching and research. In addition to recent awards to individual faculty members in these areas, the faculty of Spanish and Portuguese as a whole received the 2007 Departmental Award for Exceptional Teaching and Learning from the University of Kansas Center for Teaching Excellence. Thank you in advance for your generous support as we strive to continue our commitment to our extended community, a community of which you are an integral part.
