Information Desk Volunteers More than 60 dedicated Friends volunteers staff the Spencer Museum Information Desk during gallery hours six days a week. They greet visitors, give directions, and provide information about the special and permanent exhibitions at the Spencer. Each volunteer works a minimum of one 2-hour shift per month. Corporate and Business Memberships Spencer Cornerstone $5,000 and above Spencer Associate $2,500 - 4999 Spencer Fellow $1,000 - 2,499 Benefactor $500 - 999 Patron $300 - 499 Sponsor $100 - 299 The Corporate and Business Friends of the Art Museum fund the program that brings Douglas County schoolchildren to the Spencer for guided tours. These museum visits are preceded by classroom art discussions led by the Museum's dedicated volunteer docents. The Corporate and Business Friends have supported the Spencer Program since 1980. Last year the docents conducted tours for nearly 4,500 school children and adults. Recognition All Spencer Museum of Art Corporate and Business member names are prominently displayed in a public area where they can be seen by more than 100,000 visitors annually. Corporate and Business members (Spencer Fellow and up) who sponsor specific exhibitions will be recognized in all exhibition-related promotional materials. Membership benefits extend to your entire family and are for one year, January 1 through December 31. Memberships received after July 1 are valid through the following calendar year. Memberships are tax deductible as allowed by law. The value of publications received by Benefactor through Associate levels is estimated at $50.00; members may decline the benefits and deduct the full amount.
