NEW! Tips on managing Holiday eating

Frustrated With Your Eating?
Managing eating can be a challenge in the college environment. Fast food, late night eating and skipped meals can result in weight changes and health problems. Ann Chapman, registered dietitian at Student Health Services, is available to see students, faculty and staff for any eating concerns. To make an appointment, call (785) 864-9507.
Take ownership of your health. Many college students eat on the run, which makes diet-friendly foods hard to find. Learn about healthy fast food options, how to avoid the freshmen 15, and recipes to help you eat better on or off campus.
Want to get involved in healthy eating, physical activity and body acceptance issues? Join HOMEBASE, a campus organization responsible for the "Better Bites" program and for the creation of hawkhealth.ku.edu. Contact Ann at achap@ku.edu.
To maximize your health, ask yourself:
What is my diet like?
What positive changes can I make?
What healthy eating habits can I incorporate into my lifestyle?
Do I want to explore vegetarianism?
DID YOU KNOW....
That you need a quart of milk a day to meet your calcium needs? (Make it skim so you don't clog your arteries!)
