Barry Fitzgerald

Barry Fitzgerald has taught illustration and drawing since 1993. With a bachelor's degree in graphic design, and a master of fine arts degree in illustration, he brings many years of experience to the classroom. His approach in teaching focuses on development process, experimentation and conceptual problem solving.

In addition to teaching, Barry is also a practicing illustrator. A partial list of clients includes The New York Times; BusinessWeek; Consumer Reports; AARP; McGraw Hill; K-Tel Records; Ford; Hogue Wineries; Sonic Drive-In; Playboy Jazz Festival; and Children's Television Network, to name a few.

His work has been recognized by the Society of Illustrators in New York and Los Angeles; The Society of Newspaper Design; The Associated Press; and University and College Designer's Association; he also has won many regional and local awards.
