Elizabeth F. Smith

 

Elizabeth is a 1995-1999 Self Fellow. She received her Ph.D. in Entomology in 2005. She received her B.S. (1994) in ecology and evolutionary biology from KU with College and departmental honors. She was also a Watkins-Berger Scholar. Her research at KU focused on insect behavior, population genetics and the evolution and maintenance of sociality. Specific research examined the behavior and genetics of the neotropical paper wasp. Elizabeth is an environmental scientist with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment in Topeka, Kansas.
