Scott A. Grecian

 

Scott, a 2002-2006 Self Fellow, received his Ph.D. in pharmaceutical chemistry in 2007. He received a B.S. (2002) magna cum laude in biochemistry from Walla Walla College. At KU he conducted his research under the guidance of Professor Jeffrey Aube. His research project involved the development of a recently discovered and quite unusual reaction between alkyl azides and cyclopropanone acetals. Future research goals include the synthesis of alkaloid natural products possessing potentially useful biological properties. He is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, California.
