Mary E. Krause

Mary is a 2005 – 2009 Self Fellow pursuing a Ph.D. in chemistry. She received a B.S. (2005), summa cum laude, in chemistry with a minor in biology and an M.S. (2005) in chemistry from Southwest Misssouri State University. While at SMSU, Mary was named the Outstanding Graduating Senior in the chemistry department, received the Outstanding Inorganic Chemistry Student Award, and was the president of the Chemistry Honor Society and the Student Affiliates of the American Chemical Society. She recently made a poster presentation at the national meeting of the American Chemical Society in San Diego. Mary was a graduate teaching assistant at SMSU and is currently a graduate teaching assistant at KU. She plans to focus on bioinorganic chemistry research.
