Chadd is a 2004 -
2008 Self Fellow pursuing a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering. He received a B.S. (2002) and an M.S. (2005) in mechanical engineering from the University of Kansas. Chadd is interested in biomechanics, especially of the human knee joint. His research includes evaluation of knee prosthetics and knee ligament injuries. Chadd grew up working on his family's farm and held an internship at Koch Industries. His long-term goal is to work in research and development for an orthopaedic company or biomechanics firm.
