| Bob is a 2004
– 2008 Self Fellow pursuing a Ph.D. in pharmaceutical chemistry.
He received a B.S. (2004) in pharmaceutical sciences with minors in chemistry and Spanish, summa cum laude, from Drake University. Bob is a member of Dr. Eric Munson's research group, which specializes in the use of solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (SSNMR) spectroscopy in the analysis of pharmaceutical products. His current research focuses on the impact of chiral defects on crystallinity. Improved understanding of chiral defects may lead to production methods that will better exclude such defects, thereby increasing the purity, efficacy, and safety of future chiral pharmaceuticals.
Mentor: Eric J. Munson, Professor, Pharmaceutical Chemistry
