Richard W. Baldauf
Rich is a 1997-2001 Self Fellow who received a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering in 2000. He received a B.S. (1991) in civil engineering from Virginia Tech and a M.S. (1993) in environmental engineering from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Prior to entering KU, he worked for Black and Veatch, Kansas City, and for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. His research project at KU involved the development of environmental monitoring techniques to assess regional human health impacts from toxic air pollutants. Rich is currently a physical scientist/environmental engineer with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. Mentor: Dennis D. Lane, N.T.
