Professional Biography

Val RenaultVal Renault develops and disseminates informational materials about the work conducted by the RTC/IL. This includes producing fact sheets, newsletters, brochures and other materials, as well as overseeing the Center's website and social media outreach.

She also assists in implementation of the Community Engagement Initiative, a project to improve health care access for people with disabilities; trains facilitators for Living Well with a Disability; and created an online training about animal emergency preparedness.

She has worked as a professional communicator at the University of Kansas Hospital, the Kansas Association for the Medically Underserved, KU's Work Group for Community Health and Development and the KU School of Business.

She also taught English literature and composition at KU for nine years.

Education

Renault has a master's degree in English literature from the University of Southern California and a bachelor's degree in seondary education with a language arts concentration from the University of Kansas.
