Two U.S. Department of Education grants worth more than $1 million have been awarded to researchers at the RTC/IL. One project will develop self-advocacy skills for students with disabilities in post-secondary educational settings. The other focuses on weight loss for people with physical disabilities.

Glen White, Director of the RTC/IL, led an American "Dream Team" of IL experts to Peru in January for this summit. The Americans shared what they have learned to help the Peruvians develop their own IL movement.
