Summary of Disaster:

 

The Disaster News Network reported that the Massachusetts Governor was asking for federal disaster aid for seven Massachusetts counties, including Worcester City, due to these storms and flooding.  The coastal part of the state was mostly affected with localized flooding, trees and debris littering many roads, and several bridges and roads washing away with flooding waters. The Concord River, in northeastern part of the state, was at flood stage and the town of Billerica was taking preventive steps by making sandbags available. According to the Worcester City emergency manager, “The storm did not affect Worcester much. We just got a lot of rain but no damages.”

 

Reported Injuries, Deaths, and Rescue at the Site:

 

The emergency manager was not aware of any injuries, deaths, or rescues as a result of the disaster in Worcester City.
