KU Recreation Services Mission Statement
Recreation Services, a department within Student Success, on the Lawrence campus, joins in partnership with the University of Kansas to improve the quality of life for students, faculty, staff, and their families by providing desired recreational programs, facilities and services. To accomplish this mission, Recreation Services:
- Provides diversity in programming and employment opportunities to meet the changing needs and interests of its participants;
- Maintains supervised programs, facilities and services to ensure opportunity for participation by all;
- Promotes the development of knowledge, interests, and behaviors that lead to a healthy lifestyle; and
- Offers programs, facilities and services at a cost that is affordable to participants.
