Fall

  • Develop Individualized Development Plan with the help of the program coordinator
  • Identify and select a faculty mentor with the help of the program coordinator
  • Participate in a research experience
  • Complete LA&S 492: How to Apply to Graduate School
  • Complete MATH 696: Transitions in Mathematics
  • Complete Seminar in Engineering or Seminar in Molecular Biosciences
  • Participate in program meetings

Spring

  • Meet with program coordinator to review Individualized Development Plan
  • Participate in a research experience
  • Participate in program meetings
  • Present research progress at the SELF Symposium in July
  • Complete BIOL 420b/PHIL 400: Ethics in Scientific Research
  • Complete GS 750: Professional Writing
  • Present research progress at the KU Graduate Student Research Symposium
  • Present research progress at the Haskell / KU Research Symposium


Summer

  • Meet with program coordinator to review Individualized Development Plan
  • Participate in a research experience
  • Participate in program meetings
  • Present research progress at the SELF Symposium in July
