Jacquelyn Monroe

Jacquelyn MonroeJacquelyn Monroe was born in New Orleans, La. She received a B. A. from LSUNO in Sociology, now called the University of New Orleans. She has also done post-graduate work in Urban Studies at Wichita State University, and post graduate work at the Kansas University in Education. She taught in the Topeka Public School system for 12 years and retired from there two years ago. She has six children who are very successful, and have all graduated from college, one from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, and one form KU, School of Law. One daughter is an RN, one son works for the New York Yankees, one son is a policeman. Also, she has a daughter who graduated from KU in theatre and Film. Mrs. Monroe joins the HBW staff to help with novel files and special collections.
