The goal of the Corporate Career Connections Program is to encourage students (with a special emphasis on the first and second year experience) to become engaged in the career exploration process early in their college experience. The intent is to increase participants’ knowledge about professional career attainment strategies available on campus and through KU corporate affiliates associated with the Office of Multicultural Affairs and the University Career Center. The program encourages open dialogue between students, student leadership organizations, corporate representatives, and various KU departments that have resources specific to this populations’ academic and career attainment success.  This includes but is not limited to, major exploration, internships, resumes writing, interviewing techniques, and post secondary education goals.

Pathways to Success: Career Exploration Series
This program will feature monthly workshops that will allow corporate representatives from various career fields to meet with current KU students. The representatives will have an opportunity to talk about their company, educational requirements, internship opportunities, and general career advice. The presentations will last approximately one hour, allowing for questions and answers at the end of the presentations. All workshops would be held in the Sabatini Multicultural Resource Center.
