Mr. Amon Rashidi

Amon Rashidi has lived several lives including those of a community and political activist, founder and director of a national non-profit organization, accomplished national lecturer, and a phenomenal spoken-word artist. And as if that is not enough, he is also co-owner and executive director of a multi-faceted production company. In 1987, Rashidi founded Project J.A.M.S. (Just Another Means of Success), a community and youth development organization dedicated to offering positive, life-changing options to families and children. Rashidi is a Billboard-charted poet/spoken word artist, a gifted and powerful author, and an inspiring, thought-provoking lecturer. He recently completed a spoken word project entitled SPEAK – First Born Sun, which he wrote and co-produced. This project defies the generation gap by infusing various musical styles, including R&B, Hip-Hop, Jazz, and southern Blues.
