Initiative 2015: Shaping KU's Future

The Chancellor's Initiative 2015 website was launched in January 2009 to provide information on the continuing work in the three key areas that were the focus of the Initiative 2015 planning effort: Teaching and Learning, Discovering and Innovating, and Working for Kansas. The website contains the task force recommendations and materials relevant to the implementation of those recommendations, as well as planning updates and progress reports in each of the three key areas.

This OIRP website was created to facilitate the initial planning activities of the three task forces and contains background resources and materials. For the most current information on Initiative 2015, consult the Chancellor's website.

Initiative 2015: KU Strategic Planning Process
Spring 2008

During Spring 2008, KU undertook a focused planning effort that addressed three key areas of KU's mission: Teaching and Learning, Discovering and Innovating, and Working for Kansas.

Task forces were formed to address each of the three areas and were asked to develop specific recommendations for the future direction of the University. Below are links to the reports of the task forces and a narrative summary report by themes.

Resources on this website provided a common background for the task force members as well as provide information to the larger KU community on the strategic planning process.
