FY 2009 TUITION PROPOSAL
(Submitted to the Kansas Board of Regents in May 2008)


Overview

FY 2009 is the second year in which KU's Four-Year Tuition Compact has been in effect. Under the compact, all new first time, degree-seeking freshmen pay a set, per-credit-hour tuition rate that will not change for four years. Below are the tuition rates per credit hour for students at the Lawrence and Medical Center campuses. All amounts shown are Standard Tuition rates, except for Freshmen, who will pay Compact Tuition rates. (Note: the tuition rates for medical students are semester rates)
  • $229.25 - Resident Freshmen (Compact Tuition rate for 4 years)
  • $602.05 - Nonresident Freshmen (Compact Tuition rate for 4 years)
  • $206.50 - Resident Undergraduate
  • $542.40 - Nonresident Undergraduate
  • $255.10 - Resident Graduate
  • $609.55 - Nonresident Graduate
  • $11,861.40 - Resident Medical Student (semester rate)
  • $21,035.10 - Nonresident Medical Student (semester rate)
