Fall 2006/Spring 2007
As of late spring, the National Research Council is in the final stages of its study of U.S. research doctorate programs.
The Institutional, Program, and Faculty Surveys are completed. The Student Survey and Faculty Rating components remain ongoing.
The NRC study is designed to help universities improve the quality of doctoral
programs through benchmarking; provide potential students and the public with accessible, readily available
information on doctoral programs nationwide; and enhance the nation's overall research capacity.
Based on NRC guidelines, 42 of KU's doctoral programs are participating in the study.
The information provided on this website is designed to facilitate the gathering of data required by the NRC Study and also provides
a selection of initial reports and results from KU's participation in the study.
