Board of Regents Approved Programs
By Program and CIP

All degree programs offered at Regents institutions in Kansas are approved by the Kansas Board of Regents. The reports accessible via this page detail the University of Kansas Lawrence campus academic degree programs currently approved by the Board of Regents. The reports include the Classification of Instructional Program (CIP) code associated with each.

Reports ordered by program name and by CIP are available.

Lists of approved programs by institution for all Regents universities, community colleges, and technical colleges are available at the Kansas Board of Regents Institutional Research website.

Not all students are enrolled in KBOR-approved degree-programs. Many students are undecided as to degree or are nondegree-seeking. In some cases students are pursuing certificates or are enrolled in coursework needed prior to admission into a professional school. These majors are not KBOR-approved but are important for University records and reporting. A list of all major codes used in the University of Kansas student records system is available at the OIRP website.
