General Education Goals Committee Charge
To examine the eleven goals of general
education to determine:
• Do the goals still represent the
knowledge and skills students should learn as result of general
education?
• Do the goals still reflect the
curricular means to achieve these goals?
• Do the goals include the current
methods of assessing goal attainment? More specifically,
• Should a goal specific to science
and technology be added?
• Are goals too ambiguous to be
meaningful?
• Should goals be more widely disseminated
among students, faculty, community, etc. to be valuable and influential?
Tied to course content, syllabi, objectives, etc.?
