Application Procedure

KU Campus The Department of Molecular Biosciences adheres to the standards set forth by Graduate Studies for admission of new students. Applicants are evaluated and ranked based on overall grades, performance in science courses, three recommendation letters, Graduate Record Examination scores and, when applicable, TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) scores.

Application Materials for the Graduate Program in Molecular Biosciences at the University of Kansas include:

  1. Completed Application Form
  2. One official copy of all academic transcripts
    (International applicants will need a translated copy as well.)
  3. Curriculum Vitae or Resume (1-2 pages)
  4. GRE Scores (General Exam)
  5. Three letters of recommendation from qualified individuals (Graduate Letter of Recommendation Form)
  6. A Statement of Aims - A description of your research interests and goals
  7. Application Fee ($55-domestic, $65-international)
  8. International applicants
    Required: Minimum iBT SPEAKING score of 24 or IELTS SPEAKING score of 8

 

New students are only accepted for fall terms. Your application file must be complete by December 15.

All supporting documentation should be uploaded at the online application site when you apply.
