Visiting Max Kade Professors
During every spring semester combined financial support from the Max Kade Foundation and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences make it possible to invite distinguished European teachers and scholars of German to the Max Kade Center. This tradition began in 1965.

Studied German and Education/Pedagogy 1981: PhD (morphology and semanatics of verbal categories in the Southern German speech area), University of Lwow, Ukraine. 1981 - 1989: Lecturer in German at University of Omsk 1990 onwards: working on various projects at IDS, Mannheim (amongst other things, work on the project Linguistic Integration of Immigrants in Germany) 1998: Qualified as a professor in the Modern Languages Faculty at the University of HD and granted permission to teach German linguistics 1998 - 2000: Temporary post as C3 professor in Kiel, periods as guest lecturer in Salzburg, München, Budapest, Heidelberg und Mannheim

2000 onwards: coordination and management of the project Variation in spoken German at IDS
