Three cheers for MAIS student Jaime Lenninger, recipient of one of the 2008 Truman Foundation Good Neighbor Awards for international study! Information about the Harry S. Truman awards is available through the Office of Graduate Studies.

Congratulations to MAIS student Katherine Acosta on her acceptance to the PhD program in cultural anthropology at the University of California at Santa Barbara! Katherine will be wrapping up her thesis on Mexican immigration to Kansas and then heading west to begin doctoral study in fall 2008.

Still more congratulations to MAIS student Dylan Bassett, who has again been awarded a Foreign Language Area Studies Fellowship from the African Studies Center to support his coursework and study of Wolof. Great work!
