Cooperative project on dual diagnosis of persons with disabilities


This is a current project.


Description

The project is designed to support individuals with a dual diagnosis of mental retardation and mental illness in their community and prevent hospital or institutional admission. This is accomplished by providing crisis intervention and needed follow-up services, such as respite care or attendant care for the individual and/or family. Information on community resources is made available.
