Evaluation of the online and applied system for intervention skills (OASIS) training program for parents of children with an autism spectrum disorder via telemedicine service delivery

This is a current project.

Description

The goal of this research is to develop and evalute the effectiveness of a training program for parents of children with autism who live in rural and remote regions. Another ongoing project produced the OASIS (Online and Applied System for Intervention Skills) training program, which was developed in collaboration with parents of children with autism. This research project seeks to evaluate the effectiveness of OASIS in improving parent knowledge and skills and the short-term and long-term impact of parental use of these strategies on a child's language and social-skills development.
